New Spring Street bridge all it’s cracked up to be
We visited the new Spring Street bridge last week after receiving a tip regarding cracks appearing. Sure enough, they were there, and there’s plenty of them. On the south side of the bridge, we discover 28 cracks within the first half of the span.
City of Fort Wayne partnered with the Allen County Highway Department to complete the $2.2 million project.
We’re not sure if these are superficial cracks, or, cracks that may or may not effect the integrity of the bridge, (engineers feel free to chime in), but given the cost, it seems that after only five weeks of being open, there shouldn’t be any cracks at all.

Would make one skeptic when crossing wouldn't it?
They look like shrinkage cracks–not a big deal unless they start to separate (get wider). I wouldn't worry about it, concrete cracks.
