Linda Zimmerman wants all to know the backstory …. Is that the smell of Win losing?

Mourdock – Donnelly poll and Howey the h@ck

By AWB On November 2, 2012 · Comments · In Politics

Political h@ck Brian Howey today released yet another of his bullshit polls. This time, (again), on the Mourdock/Donnelly race. It shows Donnelly at 47 percent to Mourdock’s 36 percent, and Libertarian Andrew Horning getting 6 percent. Another 11 percent were undecided.

One of Howey’s pollsters, Christine Matthews just tweeted today following:

“@cmatthewspolls: One thing I would say is #insenpoll shows likely Donnelly win but not by 11 pts on El Day”

So now, Howey pollster Christine Matthews is backpedaling on this poll? Nothing like saving your reputation. Top that off with the fact that Howey scrambled together a conference call this morning to defend his weighted poll data, but stated he won’t release the original, unweighted data and cross tabs. What’s he afraid of? It’s a well known fact that Howey despises Richard Mourdock, for reasons no one is sure. Most assume it was due to a love affair with the Lugar campaign and his staffers during the primary, (read into that what you will).

And, there’s more. One of Howey’s other (bipartisan pollsters – read: bullshit) is Fred Yang, a well-known Democrat operative who works for the DSCC and has a clear conflict of interest in this race

I just got off the phone with a national Super Pac. They conducted their own poll last Friday through Sunday. The results showed Mourdock, who was up prior to the debate in their previous poll by 2%, was now down by 5%. Of the total, 2% moved to Andrew Horning. None of those polled moved to Donnelly. The rest, 11% were undecided. So, Donnelly gained nothing, nada, zip. Keep this in mind.

Rasmussen released a poll today showing Donnelly up by 3 points.  That’s believable, and well within reach of Mourdock if there is a strong evangelical and Tea Party turnout, and let’s not forget the undecided. Based on Rasmussen’s poll, the undecideds appear to have moved back into Mourdock’s camp. In other words, the brief momentum that Donnelly received “after” the debate is now over.

Mourdock’s own polling, by McLaughlin and Associates, shows Mourdock up by 2 points.

Staunch Lugar Republicans are trying to undermine Mourdock, and Howey is their cheerleader. Don’t they realize control of the senate is at hand?

Turnout will favor Mourdock. Anyone that would defend Harry Reid's control of the Senate is NOT a Republican. Just a Democrat running around deceiving himself.

Polls. I remember the Andy Downs poll that showed Mrs. Brown beating the living crap out of Paula Hughes for the mayoral primary. Political hacks pushing their polls. Publicity seekers extraordinaire.

Lugar Republicans are dispicable. They're putting their little temper tantrums before our country. Plug your noses, pull the lever, and go save our country, for cryin' out loud!!!!

Mourdock said what he believed with his foot in his mouth. I don't share his views on this point but it wouldn't stop me personally from voting for him. It all proves you can't say what you think or be specific when you 're running for office.

For those confused with the notes here, we have two guests. One is a Democrat shill, most likely, who does not sign in with an email. the other, the above guest, signs in with an email and is known to the management of this blog.
