Sounds like a great time.Who will show up? the Tea Party of those who hijacked the Tea Party? When it started, it was great, I went down to Indy. Now its just a bunch of haters. They claim to be inclusive to minorities, but in Indy last week, I didn't se one person of color other than the paid speakers.
Well-respected black Tea Party leader Emery McClendon is the individual coordinating the Tea party Express Bus rally Sunday. He is cut from the same cloth as those who fought tyranny 250 years ago, a man whose first allegience is liberty.
Since when do we judge the merit of any organization, the character of its participants or the principles it represents strictly based on the racial makeup of the crowd? Sounds like the very definition of racism. Is it possible that many in the "minority community" of which you spoke, Sally, have chosen, of their own free will, not to attend. Not because they weren't welcome to attend, but because they simply don't want to. The Tea Party can only invite….can't force anyone to attend.
The event posted above is open to all Americans. We welcome all that wish to attend to do so.
The Tea Party Movement is for all Americans, and we unite because we love our country and The U.S. Constitution.
There are many minorities involved in this movement across this nation. The lack of some people in a city or at a single event has no effect on the movement in total or of that area. You can invite people to attend, but it is up to them to come.
If you wish to continue to enjoy the America that those before you enjoyed it would be wise to stand up for your freedom and liberty before it is lost.
Freedom once lost can never be regained, and America will end up like Europe and other Third World Countries. It is up to us to preserve our Republic.
Attend this rally and decide for yourself if America is worth saving.
All white events are disconcerting to some, you know, like Obama headquarters across the nation.,.
For any who missed my point …. what is whiter than an Indianapolis tea party? An Obama campaign HQ gathering in that bastion of crackers, Chicago …… See here for the admission of that fact: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/04/10/…
So lighten up, Sally dear. The tea party welcomes all Americans, as Emory says. We really don't give a damn about your pedigree or color or socio-economics or parentage or heritage or any of that …… we care about your creed. Let's get real creedal and have a rebirth of the Founder's freedom ….. without any color codes, shall we? As for me, I as following Emery. He is my local leader in the tea party, even if a few shades darker than my Cherokee ancestors.
BTW, glad I posted this, but cannot come, business down south. I will be there in spirit.
I saw nothing in this posting that every made me think of a persons color. What does the color of a mans skin have to do with this gathering?
